Project Lumino is music created by me, Holly Sellors. I was born on August 21st 1987 and have spent most of my life in a town called Burgess Hill.

Musically I started with the recorder at primary school which then led to weekly piano lessons at 7. I really wish now I had paid more attention at piano but my head has always been a little in the clouds.Throughout the 90's my music taste hadn't fully developed as I danced about to Take That and the Spice Girls but when I was 11 I was introduced to Green Day by my best friend, Jo.

I desperately wanted to play the electric guitar so I begged for one on my 12th Christmas. I wasn't allowed an electric as it was too "noisy" but I got a cheap plastic stringed acoustic and loved it. I would spend hours printing off tabs and learning them in my room. I struck lucky for my 13th Birthday, I got a sunburst Squire Stratocaster. Favourited at the time were The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Metallica.

I started getting more and more into music and going a long to local punk gigs at The Junction. At 15 Jo needed a bassist for her new band "The Ass Rockits". I couldn't play the bass but volunteered and spent some of my savings on an electric red Yamaha. Gen was on vocals and Ollie on the drums. We recorded a demo and played gigs, it was amazing. I wrote a song called "Crime Against Being Me" that expressed the paranoia of a teenager. We got to play venues in Brighton like the Concorde 2 and The Freebutt. I stopped playing with The Ass Rockits in 2005.

In 2005 I enrolled to a Music Technology course in Brighton. I loved it. Here I learnt how to program music and record live bands. This was also the year I met Peppi. We met online when I advertised that I wanted to start up a new band. She played acoustic guitar and sung, I played bass and we had Alex on drums. We decided on the name "Lumino". At first I thought it sounded a bit too much like a Harry Potter spell. But I'm glad we chose it now. We ended up playing a few venues in Brighton and were interviewed on Juice Fm

Lumino kind of faded away after a while and after a music break I answered a band ad for a bassist in January 2007. I met Ed (vox/keys) and Bradford (drummer) who were in Stowaway and joined as their bass player. A few months after this I started Project Lumino in April 2007. As a band Stowaway were practicing the songs but we wanted to find a guitarist. Around this time I met Neil. We met musically on MySpace and he offered to put some vocals on Sun for me. Neil was also a fantastic guitar player so I asked if he wanted to be in Stowaway. On September 8th 2007 we had our first Stowaway gig.

Me and Neil spent a lot of time together ever since we met and he helped me produce the whole album "Waking Up". He made each song sound bigger and better than it had ever sounded before!

We now live together and have another separate music project called "Losing Hannah" with musician Laura Harrison. Now I am building up songs for a second album, experimenting more with instruments and vocals hoping that my music improves with each song.
